Where did you get your start? I studied with the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (at the time in Kitchener Waterloo) which was a 2200-hour program, and I graduated in 2002.

How did you come to Banff: I am from Galt, Ontario, and work and the mountains brought me to Banff. I’ve been working at Meadow Spa since 2016.

“Initially I did massage therapy to go into another profession, but I liked it so much (helping people in that capacity) that I never considered doing anything else after my training. When I’m not working, I like to cross-country ski, go fly fishing, do meal prep, listen to podcasts, and catch up with friends and family.”

Where did you get your start?: I grew up in Niagara Falls, Ontario, where I attended Canadian Therapeutic College and graduated from the 2200-hour Registered Massage Therapy program.

How did you come to Banff: Growing up I got into snowboarding and mountain biking; shortly after college I realized the hills out east were no longer cutting it, so I decided to make the move to the big mountains.

“I got into massage therapy after experiencing the benefits firsthand. I really enjoy the aspect of helping people get back to feeling great and find that it is a very rewarding career!”

Tell me a bit about yourself? I am an avid nature lover who decided to follow the mountains from my home in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, all the way to Banff, Alberta.

Why did you choose Massage Therapy as your career? I was always interested in how the human body worked, and I knew I wanted to be in a profession that helped heal people, so massage therapy ended up being the perfect fit. It’s such a rewarding career because you get to see people come in with all sorts of problems and leave feeling relaxed and renewed.

“I love spending time in nature, discovering new hiking trails and waterfalls, and riding my bike through the city.”

What brought you to Banff? Originally I’m from Hungary, from a little historical town called Tata. Growing up I always dreamt about the vast untouched nature of Canada.

For fun: I’m very lucky that I can spend my spare time with my young daughter, and I also enjoy different outdoor activities, such as hiking, biking, skiing, and kayaking.

“I also find joy in bringing relief, happiness, and relaxation to people through massage.”

Tell me a bit about yourself. I was born in Haiti and grew up in Edmonton. I studied Advance Clinical Massage Therapy at Makami College. I love anything and everything that involves sports, art and learning about different cultures and history around the world.

How did you come to Banff? Wanting to be in the mountains, of course, but also to take the next step in my career as a therapist and expand my skills and challenge myself in a world-renowned location.

“I chose massage therapy because I’ve been a competitive athlete for over 23 years and I wanted to be able to help the body heal with my own hands and see the benefits right away with my own eyes.”

Alienor

Massage Therapist / Aesthetician

Where did you get your start? I am from France, from Dijon in Burgundy, and I came to Banff for the lifestyle and the beautiful scenery. I did my aesthetics schooling in France with 3, 2-years program, graduating from the final one in 2014. I will be going back to school in Calgary for massage therapy in 2026.
What do you do for fun? In my free time I like to go recharge by reconnecting to nature with a walk, a hike, or canoeing in the summertime. I also enjoy reading novels, doing puzzles and cooking simple but comforting meals

“I started my career wanting to look after people, to pamper them and help them feel better, and discovered that with treatments and just our hands and touch we are able to make a difference for people coming to see us, and I think that’s a great superpower!”
